The Project Light-AIClean, where SWISDATA is part of, is an initiative that aims to develop cutting-edge tools for a chemometrics-assisted decontamination process. This revolutionary technology utilizes quality control and renewable energy, focusing on removing harmful contaminants from plastic and glass materials. The ultimate goal of this project is to facilitate the repurposing and recycling of these materials, thereby reducing waste and promoting sustainability.

Marian Lux from SWISDATA, was one of about 300 stakeholders from governments, international organizations, private sector entities, academia, and civil society who were brought together to address the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in fostering a sustainable development and bridging the digital divide in developing countries. The forum was held in Vienna at the United Nations Office (UNO-City) among others with the goal to develop an Outcome Declaration which now available in full text.

The United Nations Office in Vienna hosted from July 17 & 18th, 2024 the AI for Developing Countries Forum, bringing together experts, policymakers, and innovators to address the challenge of bridging digital divides and fostering inclusive AI development. The event focused on the theme "Fair AI for a Fair World", highlighting the need for ethical governance and international cooperation to ensure AI becomes a force for global equity and sustainable development.

We're thrilled to share this exciting news with you! In our office, a special package was waiting for us - a printed version of the project highlights for digital technologies in Austria from the years 2016 till 2021, published by the national funding agency and federal ministry.

We are proud that we have been part of the bilateral Future Data Assets project as an associated partner in a strong German consortium where the main partners were, atlan-tec, Deloitte, FIR an der RWTH Aachen, Universität des Saarlandes, DMG MORI and VDI. This project was a groundbreaking initiative that created a comprehensive framework for managing and reporting on corporate data capital. SWISDATA on the other hand showed how to improve the value of data in companies.
