Marian Lux from SWISDATA, was one of about 300 stakeholders from governments, international organizations, private sector entities, academia, and civil society who were brought together to address the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in fostering a sustainable development and bridging the digital divide in developing countries. The forum was held in Vienna at the United Nations Office (UNO-City) among others with the goal to develop an Outcome Declaration which now available in full text.
The United Nations Office in Vienna hosted from July 17 & 18th, 2024 the AI for Developing Countries Forum, bringing together experts, policymakers, and innovators to address the challenge of bridging digital divides and fostering inclusive AI development. The event focused on the theme "Fair AI for a Fair World", highlighting the need for ethical governance and international cooperation to ensure AI becomes a force for global equity and sustainable development.
